Educational and Development Intervention Services
Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) at West Point provides screenings, evaluations and educational intervention services to children ages birth through 36 months who would be eligible, but for their age, to attend the DDESS school at West Point. EDIS services are family centered and community based. Services are provided to the greatest extent possible using a single provider with consultative services available as needed with other early interventionists. EDIS services for eligible families are provided to address concerns in the areas of communication, motor skills, learning, self-help, and social interactions.
Referrals can be made directly to EDIS by the parent or legal guardian or through the child's medical provider. Parents are an integral part of the EDIS team as they know their child's strengths, interests, and frustrations. Don't wait. Contact EDIS if you have any questions regarding your child's developmental skills.
