H1N1 Vaccine for priority groups:
We are continuing to vaccinate our family members using the NY state H1N1 vaccine. Please see the attachment and publicize it as much as possible. NOTE: ONLY those priority groups identified should go to the hospital Thursday, 19 Nov 2009, 1300-1600 hrs for their H1N1 vaccinations. We're continuing to vaccinate individuals based on the CDC guidelines. As more vaccine arrives, we'll open up to more groups being vaccinated. Thanks for your patience, help and support!

Smoking Cessation Program: Classes are held every Friday in the KACH 4th floor classroom, 1200-1300. You will be required to only attend one class to be enrolled in the program. This class will help you to quit using tobacco products. The program is open to all active duty and Tricare beneficiaries. Childbirth Preparation Classes: 4 Week Series, Classes are now held each month 2nd Floor Classroom, Keller Army Community Hospital. Call OBU at 938-3210 to register. Next Series: Dec 8, 15, Jan 5, 12.

KACH Outpatient Clinics Closure: All Outpatient Clinics, Laboratory, Pharmacy and Radiology will be CLOSED November 26 (Thanksgiving) and November 27 (Training Holiday). The Emergency Room will remain open.

Periodic Health Assessment: The Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) is now required ANNUALLY for soldiers. This exam replaces the five year physical. To schedule an appointment, call the appointment center at 938-7992.

KACH Adds Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding:  For more information, call the General Surgery Clinic at 938-6850 or ask your primary care manager for a consultation.

Clinical Breast Study: Female military health care beneficiaries between 30 to 45 yrs of age are invited to participate in an ongoing clinical breast study to evaluate a new non-invasive imaging technology for its ability to identify young women who may be at increased risk for breast cancer. APPOINTMENT CENTER
845-938-7992 or 800-552-2907 - Appointments for medical care received at Keller Army Community Hospital or at a specialty clinic in Building 606 are made by calling the Keller Appointment center.

Except for federal holidays, the Appointment Center is open from 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday - Friday.
Appointment services are also available 24/7 at tricareonline.com.
